It is no secret that we represent many Uber drivers. One of our class action cases has been widely covered in Forbes and Inc. magazine as well as many other news outlets. We are best known for our overtime and tip case but there are others both pending and planned. For example, we also represent passengers in a class action questioning the company’s “surge pricing” system. If it is important to Uber drivers, other employees or passengers, it is important to us. We aren’t looking to hurt the company, instead we simply want to insure that employees and passengers are treated fairly.
Seeking a Copy of Uber Health Insurance Policy (Plan Document) for Non Drivers
We are currently investigating a claim about how Uber’s health insurance system works for office employees (non drivers). As part of our investigation, we are looking for a copy of Uber’s current health insurance plan. We need a copy of the actual policy document and not the one page summary sheet that discusses coverage. If you have a copy, please call us and we will gladly arrange and pay for overnight mail or courier pickup.
We also want to hear other complaints from drivers and other employees. We are investigating a wide multitude of other Uber issues. While some are specific to a single employee, others appear to impact many drivers. Uber Black, Pool, Taxi new car financing… the list of topics and complaints goes on and on.
As competition with Lyft and other ride share companies increases, drivers appear to be getting the short end of the stick. Some full time drivers no longer earn minimum wage, especially when vehicle expenses, insurance, license fees and down time are considered.
